Paradeep Phosphates temporarily shut down Goa plant
GPCB revokes closure notice to Jayant Agro-Organics
Jayant Agro-Organics Limited has informed that necessary clarification/requirements raised by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) were addressed and GPCB in accordance with its procedure has issued revocation of closure notice for an initial period of 3 months. Accordingly, the company’s plant located at Dhanora, Gujarat will commence its factory operations.
The company has earlier received a communication from the GPCB, which has directed the company to cease operations of its plant at Dhanora, Gujarat within 15 days from the order date in light of certain alleged violations of the pollution control norms.
SPIC resumes urea production at Tuticorin plants
Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. (SPIC) has restarted its plants at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. Production of urea resumed on 18th March 2024 after completing all the work to replace/repair the damaged equipments and machinery due to flood. During this period changes /modifications were also carried out for converting the plant manufacturing process from mixed feedstock based (Naphtha + Natural Gas) to 100% Natural Gas feedstock based operation.

Arkema successfully issued a €400 million undated hybrid bond
Arkema successfully completed today a €400 million undated hybrid bond issue with an annual coupon of 4.8% and a first call date after 5 years. Arkema thus anticipates the refinancing of one of its two outstanding hybrid bonds, amounting to €400 million and with a first call date on 17 September 2024.
