Welspun Corp Limited has received approval to incorporate a step-down wholly owned subsidiary in Jordan. Named Welspun Pipe Jordan, PSC, the new entity will set up a dedicated steel pipe manufacturing factory, formalizing the company's regional localized supply chain strategy in the Levant region. The factory supports Welspun's broader Rs. 1,500 crore joint venture strategy with Perma-Pipe for Jordan's water security projects.

State-run energy major Oil India Limited (OIL) has announced a dual-front expansion strategy aimed at multi-resource exploration, detailing a entry into critical mineral extraction alongside a Rs. 15,000 crore deepwater and ultra-deepwater hydrocarbon exploration drive. The company is pivoting beyond traditional oil and gas by launching its first-ever critical mineral drilling campaign at the Jorkian-Satipura-Khunja Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.

GAIL India gets PNGRB approval to transfer city gas assets to subsidiary

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board has granted approval to GAIL India for transferring six of its city gas distribution geographical areas to its subsidiary, GAIL Gas. This restructuring is a strategic move designed to consolidate and boost the asset value of the city gas distribution business. By shifting these geographical areas to the subsidiary, GAIL India clears the runway for a planned public listing of GAIL Gas.

Solar Industries plans to buy South Africa's Omnia Holdings for Rs. 12,951 crore

Solar Industries India Limited, through its wholly owned step-down subsidiary Solar SA Investments Proprietary Limited, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of South Africa's Omnia Holdings Limited for Rs. 12,951 crore in an all-cash transaction. The landmark acquisition represents Solar's largest international expansion effort, aiming to scale up its commercial explosives and agricultural solutions business.
