Chemspec Europe 2023 will open its doors at Messe Basel, Switzerland, to offer a unique marketplace for product sourcing, whilst connecting industry experts worldwide and providing valuable updates on trends and regulations via an extensive conference programme from 24-25th May, 2023.

With a highly specialised exhibition profile, the 36th International Exhibition for Fine and Speciality Chemicals is the meeting point for buyers, traders, and agents searching for bespoke, new approaches and innovative substances.

The exhibitor list includes Albemarle, CABB AG, Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG, ESIM Chemicals, ICL Europe Coöperatief U.A., IMCD, IVICT Europe GmbH/Mitsubishi Corporation, Robinson Brothers Ltd, Saltigo GmbH, SOCMA, WeylChem, and many others.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be back here in Basel with such promising numbers, which predict to bring the show back to pre-pandemic levels and underline once again its unique position as the premier specialised trading and networking event for the fine and speciality chemicals industry in Europe”, comments Christiane Beck, Chemspec Europe Event Manager and on behalf of RX, the organiser of the event.

“Due to expectations set by the European Green Deal, the chemical industry in Europe is facing major challenges and huge investments are necessary to realise a climate transition to sustainable chemicals whilst adapting to changing legislative measures and a circular economy by 2050. Chemspec Europe provides the ideal marketplace to allow the exchange of knowledge within the international fine and speciality chemicals community on topics relevant to the industry in this rapidly changing context,” added Beck.

Featured at Chemspec Europe 2023, a wide range of free-to-attend conferences will offer further insights into significant industry developments and key strategies adopted by industry leaders to succeed and grow. Delivered by RX, in cooperation with partner organisations and industry experts, the sessions on the agenda will cover a broad range of conference streams.

The Agrochemical Lecture Theatre will review the current market and look to offer insights into future developments. Brought to you by BCNP Consultants and sponsored by CHEManager Innovation Pitch, the Innovative Startups Presentations will present new ideas and innovations from the start-up scene, with a particular focus on carbon capture and use, digitalisation, and green chemistry. The conference partner Royal Society of Chemistry will host the homonymous symposium, which will focus on supply chain strategies and international developments, with particular attention on current topics of green chemicals, sustainability, energy saving and manufacturing cost reduction.

The Pharma Lecture Theatre will highlight trends, challenges and outlooks of the pharmaceutical industry and will also host the Pharma Outsourcing Best Practices Panel, composed of leaders from both the Pharmaceutical Industry and CROs and CDMOs engaged in Contract Research and custom synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). The Regulatory Services Lecture Theatre programme will cover regulatory requirements and updates affecting those in the global chemical supply chain.

An additional feature at the show is the Chemspec Careers Clinic – organised by Chemical Search International – a specialist professional consultancy firm offering expert advice on hiring and career aspirations within the fine and speciality chemical sector.
