The K-Vision-III also introduces advanced recipe management capabilities designed to simplify process setup while improving consistency and efficiency

Coperion K-Tron is raising the bar for feeder line control and process visualization with the launch of the K-Vision-III, the latest generation of its proven control platform.

Built from the ground up on a state-of-the-art hardware platform and modern software architecture, the K-Vision-III delivers faster, more responsive processing, expanded connectivity, and a streamlined user experience designed to give operators greater control and visibility across feeder line operations.

At the heart of the new system is centralized control. The K-Vision-III can monitor and manage up to 24 individual KCM feeder control modules on a single process line, giving operators a comprehensive view of feeder performance from one location. Through a larger, high-resolution touchscreen interface, users can access real-time monitoring, trending, configuration, and process adjustment functions with greater speed and ease.

The K-Vision-III also introduces advanced recipe management capabilities designed to simplify process setup while improving consistency and efficiency.

Operators can create and manage material configurations and process recipes with ease, while integrated functions support recipe proportioning, staged startup and shutdown sequences, and ingredient priority management. Automated calculations help ensure precise, predictable process control while reducing the amount of manual intervention required from operators.

The result is a more streamlined approach to feeder line management — helping production teams spend less time managing the system and more time focusing on process performance.

As manufacturing environments become increasingly connected, the K-Vision-III is designed to make integration simpler.

The platform supports Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols, including Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet. Acting as a single communication gateway for an entire feeder line, the system simplifies communication between plant DCS or PLC systems and multiple feeders.

This centralized approach reduces integration complexity while making critical process data more accessible across the plant.

Reliability is another key strength of the new platform. Integrated backup and restore functionality protects feeder controller parameters and enables rapid reconfiguration or replacement of individual controllers.

For manufacturers, that means faster recovery when equipment needs to be replaced or reconfigured — helping minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.

Despite its expanded capabilities, the K-Vision-III remains familiar to existing K-Vision users. The platform retains the navigation structure and workflows of previous K-Vision generations, allowing operators to transition quickly with minimal training.

At the same time, users gain the benefits of a modernized interface, improved responsiveness, and expanded functionality. Available in multiple languages, the platform is designed to support manufacturing operations around the world.

"With the K-Vision-III, we continue the tradition of innovation and continuous improvement in feeder controls that has long been a hallmark of Coperion K-Tron," said Jay Daniel, Head of R&D for Feeders and Feeder Systems within Coperion’s Performance Materials Division.

"This latest generation provides customers with greater visibility into their processes, easier access to critical production data, and enhanced system integration capabilities. Ultimately, the K-Vision-III helps customers operate more efficiently, make better-informed decisions, and maximize uptime."
