New installation to enhance customer service by enabling faster delivery solutions
Cosmo Films Inc. USA, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has announced an expansion in North America with the installation of a new high-speed 120” wide Slitter Rewinder capable of running at 3,000 ft/min. This strategic investment is aimed at meeting the growing demand for flexible packaging solutions across the region.
The state-of-the-art machine has been installed at the company’s Carol Stream warehouse in Chicago. With this advanced equipment, Cosmo Films will now be able to fulfill customer orders within 10–15 days from the order date—significantly faster than previous timelines. This improvement enables customers to optimize inventory, reduce warehousing costs through just-in-time delivery, and gain greater flexibility in their production schedules.
This investment comes at a time when the North American flexible packaging market is projected to grow from US$ 84.9 billion in 2025 to US$ 123.07 billion by 2034, driven by increasing demand for lightweight, sustainable, and customizable packaging across the food, personal care, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The new Slitter is equipped with the latest features and designed to handle a wide range of substrates, including BOPP, CPP, BOPET, and PETG films. Offering razor-sharp accuracy and high-speed operation at 3,000 ft/min, it enables Cosmo Films to deliver aesthetically appealing, eco-friendly, and flexible packaging formats such as sachets, pouches, and wraps—high-demand solutions in North America’s rapidly growing food, beverage, and healthcare sectors.
