Specialty chemicals manufacturer Fine Organic Industries announced stellar financial results for the second quarter of FY27 (Q2 FY27). Driven by operational efficiencies and a resilient global performance, the company reported a massive 40.1% year-on-year (YoY) surge in consolidated net profit to Rs. 152.1 crore, up from Rs. 108.6 crore in the same period last year.
The company's consolidated revenue from operations climbed 22.1% YoY to Rs. 729.4 crore, compared to Rs. 597.3 crore in Q2 FY26, highlighting robust sales growth during the July–September quarter. Operationally, EBITDA registered a 36.8% expansion to reach Rs. 184.9 crore. Strong pricing power and manufacturing leverage allowed consolidated operating margins to scale significantly, expanding to 20.9% from 18.2% in the previous fiscal year's comparison quarter. Exports remained a pivotal pillar for the company, accounting for roughly 55% of the total revenue pool.
Alongside the financial results, the company announced aggressive moves toward domestic and global expansion. Fine Organic Industries finalized an overseas acquisition by purchasing an 80% controlling stake in Malaysia-based Oleofine Organics Sdn. Bhd. for Rs. 80.17 crore in September 2026.
To strengthen its domestic presence, the board approved an increase in the investment ceiling for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fine Organic Industries (SEZ) Private Limited. The investment cap will see a fresh capital deployment of Rs. 120 crore, rising from Rs. 300 crore to Rs. 420 crore. The incremental funding is designated to support the subsidiary in establishing a brand-new manufacturing facility.
Supported by a strong domestic balance sheet and a substantial liquidity pool, the chemical producer remains highly well-positioned to capitalize on evolving global export demands.
