Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals has reported its highest-ever quarterly and half-yearly sales revenue in the last two decades.

Thus, marking a strong performance in the first half of FY 2026-27, driven by improved sales realizations, product mix optimization, higher renewable energy integration and expansion into new export markets.

The company's sales revenue for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, rose 26% to Rs 1,334.79 crore, compared with Rs 1,063.19 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, an increase of Rs 271.60 crore.

For the first half of FY 2026-27, revenue climbed 20% to Rs 2,559.63 crore from Rs 2,136.64 crore a year earlier, registering an increase of Rs 422.99 crore.

Avantika Singh, Managing Director of GACL, said, "The Company's growth momentum continues during the 2nd quarter and the Company achieved the highest ever Quarterly as well as Half Yearly Sales revenue in the last two decades during financial Year 2026-27.

"For 2nd Quarter, Sales Revenue has increased by Rs.271.60 Crores (i.e. by 26%) to Rs.1,334.79 Crores as compared to Rs.1,063.19 Crores in the corresponding quarter of previous year and for first Half Year, Sales Revenue has increased by Rs.422.99 Crores (i.e. by 20%) to Rs.2559.63 Crores as compared to Rs.2,136.64 Crores in the corresponding period of previous year."

The strong revenue performance translated into a sharp improvement in profitability, with the company recording substantial growth in EBITDA and profit before tax despite the challenging geopolitical environment.

GACL's second-quarter EBITDA surged 67% to Rs 221.86 crore, up Rs 88.67 crore from Rs 133.19 crore in the year-ago quarter. Profit before tax (PBT) jumped to Rs 102.10 crore from Rs 13.48 crore, registering an increase of Rs 88.62 crore.

Explaining the factors behind the performance, Singh said the company had delivered record quarterly and half-yearly revenue despite the ongoing geopolitical situation, supported by better sales realizations through product mix optimization, a higher share of renewable energy and an expanding product footprint in new export markets.

Energy efficiency and cost optimization continued to remain central to GACL's operating strategy. The company reduced its energy costs during the second quarter of FY 2026-27 compared with the corresponding period last year, supported by an increased share of renewable power in its energy mix.

The company said its focus on improving operating performance, expanding renewable energy integration and executing strategic growth projects would remain central to its long-term value creation roadmap.
