Godavari Biorefineries Limited has announced that the European Patent Office has granted its patent application for a novel technology titled "A Biofiller for Rubber Reinforcement."

The invention covers an efficient, economic, and biodegradable biofiller engineered from microcrystalline lignocellulose (surface-treated with aldehydes or ketones).

The primary technological advancement allows the biofiller to partially replace conventional carbon black in tires and various rubber products while preserving or improving critical mechanical properties.
