The Renewable Energy division led growth, posting KRW 2.4823 trillion in revenue and KRW 166.4 billion in operating profit

Hanwha Solutions reported a strong second-quarter performance, with consolidated revenue reaching KRW 4.5826 trillion and operating profit totaling KRW 306.5 billion, as key business divisions maintained profitability despite rising global uncertainties.

The company’s major business segments — Renewable Energy, Chemicals, and Advanced Materials — each recorded operating profits for the second consecutive quarter, highlighting continued operational resilience across its portfolio.

The Renewable Energy division led growth, posting KRW 2.4823 trillion in revenue and KRW 166.4 billion in operating profit. Performance improved on the back of higher module selling prices, development asset sales, and a strengthened revenue base in the residential energy business.

Hanwha’s Chemicals division generated KRW 1.4650 trillion in revenue and KRW 87.1 billion in operating profit, maintaining stable operations despite geopolitical challenges in the Middle East. The company credited timely raw material procurement, including ethylene sourcing, for supporting continued profitability.

The Advanced Materials division recorded KRW 300.3 billion in revenue and KRW 28.8 billion in operating profit, with earnings boosted by sustained demand for solar materials in North America.

Looking ahead, Hanwha Solutions expects further momentum in its Renewable Energy business, supported by growth in residential energy and expanded solar manufacturing capacity.

Lee Jae-bin, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hanwha Solutions, stated, “With revenue in the residential energy business expected to increase in the third quarter, and the Cartersville plant reaching full-scale operation across the entire solar value chain, the Renewable Energy sector is projected to maintain solid performance."
