IPFT aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial/regulatory requirements by providing participants with hands-on experience on high-end analytical instruments in a regulatory-compliant environment

The Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram, an autonomous institute under the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, has announced a three-week skill development program on chromatography and mass spectrometry, scheduled from 5-23 January, 2026 at its Gurugram campus.

The program is designed to provide intensive theoretical and hands-on training in advanced analytical techniques, including GC, GC–MS/MS, LC, LC–MS/MS, and related sample preparation methodologies. Participants will also receive orientation on ISO/IEC 17025 and OECD-GLP systems, along with practical exposure to the analysis of food and environmental matrices for contaminants.

The course will be conducted using IPFT’s state-of-the-art NABL-accredited and GLP-compliant laboratories, equipped with advanced instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, UPLC, GC–MS, GC–MS/MS, LC–MS/MS, LC/Q-TOF-MS, Orbitrap-MS, 500 MHz NMR, and CHNSO analyzers. The program is open to MSc, MPharm, and PhD students, research scholars, faculty members, and industry professionals.

Speaking on the course, Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director, IPFT said, “Advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques form the backbone of modern analytical laboratories supporting agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food safety, and environmental monitoring. Through this skill development program, IPFT aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial/regulatory requirements by providing participants with hands-on experience on high-end analytical instruments in a regulatory-compliant environment. This initiative reflects IPFTs commitment to building skilled scientific manpower aligned with national and global needs.”

The program will accommodate 20 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to eligibility. The course fees for students/research scholars is Rs. 20,000 + GST and faculty/industry professionals is Rs. 40,000 + GST.
