Kansai Nerolac Paints reports strong Q3 profit, beats expectations

Despite rising costs, Kansai Nerolac maintained healthy profitability


Kansai Nerolac Paints has posted robust financial results for the quarter ended 31 December 2025, driven by strong operational performance and steady revenue growth.
 
The company reported revenue from operations of Rs. 1,907.35 crore, up from Rs.1,842.16 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income, including other income, rose to Rs. 1,944.08 crore.
 
Despite rising costs, Kansai Nerolac maintained healthy profitability. Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at Rs. 219.71 crore, compared with Rs. 228.09 crore in the corresponding period last year. After accounting for taxes, the company reported a net profit of Rs. 131.20 crore, up from ₹126.49 crore in the previous year.
 
On the exceptional items front, the company noted: “(44.72) 479.19 (44.72) 479.19”, signalling adjustments that analysts say had a significant impact on quarterly profit comparisons.
 
The company’s earnings per share remained solid, with basic EPS at ₹1.62 and diluted EPS at ₹1.62, both slightly lower than the previous year’s figures reflecting one-off adjustments.
 
Commenting on the results, the company stated: “We continue to focus on cost optimization and product innovation to drive growth.”
 
For the nine months ended 31 December 2025, Kansai Nerolac reported total income of ₹5,984.28 crore and profit for the period of ₹897.75 crore, marking steady growth compared with ₹5,858.92 crore and ₹896.18 crore, respectively, in the same period last year.
 
With a strong balance sheet and strategic focus on premium paints, Kansai Nerolac appears well-positioned to capitalize on growth in the Indian decorative and industrial coatings market.
