Functional tire additives and specialty rubber products for tire and technical rubber goods
LANXESS is showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of specialty chemicals, processing aids, and rubber additives designed to enhance rubber production efficiency and sustainability at the 12th India Rubber Expo 2026. Highlights include high-performance accelerators, antioxidants, anti-ozonants, and peptizers tailored for, but not limited to, the tire industry.
At the exhibition, LANXESS will debut Vulkanox HS Scopeblue, a sustainable version of its trusted TMQ antioxidant. Designed to protect tires from heat and oxidation, this low-volatility additive maintains the high performance of the original while significantly reducing environmental impact.
By utilizing biocircular acetone and renewable energy at an ISCC PLUS-certified plant in Germany, LANXESS has cut the product's carbon footprint by over 30%. The new additive consists of 55% sustainable raw materials, tracked via a mass-balance approach.
In addition to this the company also present Vulkanox 4060, a sustainable alternative to 6PPD with an optimized environmental profile. In tire compounds and finished tires, laboratory and application tests have demonstrated that the product provides comparable protection against oxidative aging.
The broader portfolio on display will include brands like Vulkacit, Vulkanox, Renacit, Zinkoxyd aktiv, NaMBT 50%, Vulkanox 4005, Benzothiazole (BT).
