Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, the flagship specialty chemicals company of the Shiva Group of Industries, is making a strong statement on sustainability and import substitution at PlastIndia 2026, underway at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 5–10.

 

Shivtek is presenting its advanced portfolio of Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) and green biodegradable plasticizers, underscoring its commitment to responsible chemistry and domestic capacity building. The five-day event brings together leading players from the plastics industry and allied sectors.

 

A key highlight of Shivtek’s showcase is CPE, a critical specialty material used across wood plastic composites (WPC), construction, wire and cable, automotive, rubber, plastics, and magnetic materials. 

 

With India heavily reliant on imports for CPE, Shivtek is setting up the country’s first domestic CPE manufacturing facility at Rajpura, Punjab. The upcoming plant aims to strengthen local supply chains, cut import dependence, and support the rising demand for WPC as a sustainable alternative to natural wood.

 

Alongside CPE, Shivtek is spotlighting Shivachlor Green Pro, India’s first biodegradable and renewable-source chlorinated plasticizer. Derived from palm oil–based methyl esters, the phthalate-free and non-toxic product is readily biodegradable and designed to replace conventional petroleum-based plasticizers across flexible PVC, wires and cables, flooring, synthetic leather, adhesives, and sealants.
