Symrise invests €1.7 million in the skilled professionals of tomorrow
Symrise has opened a modern, €1.7 million training center at its Holzminden headquarters. Officially launched on October 19, 2026, the facility can accommodate roughly 30 apprentices across five technical professions. Alongside these technical roles, the company also supports around 20 administrative apprenticeships, reinforcing its long-term investment in regional talent and local site growth.
Symrise’s 340-square-metre training center merges hands-on technology with classroom learning. The facility fosters collaboration and independent exploration, connecting experienced professionals with the next generation to develop innovative solutions.
The center accommodates roughly 30 apprentices across five technical fields: industrial mechanics, electrical engineering, automation technology, technical product design, and chemical production. Training takes place in a single, modern location to foster collaboration between apprentices and tutors. Symrise also offers training in administrative professions.
"Young people bring ideas, curiosity, and fresh perspectives to our company. We want to provide an environment where they can discover their talents, develop their abilities, and confidently shape their professional futures," says Dr Stephanie Cossmann, Member of the Board of Symrise for HR, Legal, Sustainability, and Labor Director. "With our new training center, we invest in people and their development. At the same time, we embrace our responsibility to the region and lay an important foundation for Symrise's long-term success."
The new center brings the Holzminden Site Vision 2035 to life by investing in long-term development aligned with the ONE Symrise Strategy. By uniting skilled professionals, cross-functional collaboration, and technological expertise, Symrise strengthens its foundation for innovation and sustainable growth. This investment ultimately drives customer solutions and bolsters the company's long-term competitiveness.
