Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World Group expressed eagerness to collaborate with the state in developing ports, logistics, and supply chains
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World Group, engaged with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at Mahatma Mandir during his participation in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
He commended the proactive approach of the Gujarat Government, expressing his eagerness to collaborate with the state in developing ports, logistics, and supply chains, drawing inspiration from Dubai's success. Additionally, he conveyed his willingness to introduce new high-tech industries to Gujarat.
Sulayem also praised the Make in India initiative launched by the Prime Minister, envisioning India as a pivotal export hub. He remarked that the Vibrant Summit, inspired by the Prime Minister, has attracted significant investments and fostered development in Gujarat.
Notably, he highlighted the presence of 100 Fortune 500 companies in Gujarat, highlighting the summit's success.
Chief Minister appreciated the vision of DP World beyond ports and industrial parks. He articulated the idea of progressing in a direction where Gujarat can leverage this expertise for the development of greenfield ports. Highlighting the state government's commitment under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he emphasized the goal of positioning Gujarat as a gateway to trade and prosperity through port-led development.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan; Chief Secretary,Raj Kumar; Additional Chief Secretary, Pankaj Joshi; Chief Minister's Advisor, S. S. Rathore; and senior secretaries.
