Sales surged from €1 million in 2023 to €5 million in 2024
With a clear industrial vision and robust growth trajectory, Lhyfe is positioning itself as a central player in Europe’s green hydrogen revolution.
The global pioneer in green and renewable hydrogen for decarbonising mobility and industry has confirmed it is on track to double its 2025 revenues year-on-year, aiming for around €10 million.
The company has also unveiled a sharpened strategy for 2026, prioritising sales growth, industrial projects in mature markets, and operational efficiency.
Since its founding, Lhyfe has rapidly expanded its industrial and logistics capabilities to meet rising demand for green hydrogen. The company now operates multiple production sites in France and Germany, boasting 22 MW of installed production capacity—with a 70% increase planned for 2026.
Sales surged from €1 million in 2023 to €5 million in 2024. “This strong progression reflects the very real existence of the green hydrogen market and its growth, as well as the robustness of Lhyfe’s industrial model and operational capacities,” the company said.
While Europe’s regulatory framework has lagged, the green hydrogen market is developing rapidly elsewhere. The EU’s target of 40 GW of installed electrolysis capacity by 2030 remains far from reach, with only 600 MW operational today. Yet, Lhyfe’s trajectory demonstrates the maturity of the sector and the readiness of pioneering companies to scale production.
Lhyfe has outlined key priorities for the coming year: "Accelerating production and distribution across Europe, leveraging six operational and under-construction sites, partner facilities, and its fully operational logistics network.
"Prioritising mature European projects, focusing on mobility, UK industry, and European refineries, while maintaining other projects for future market opportunities. Refocusing engineering on core expertise, outsourcing EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) to concentrate on its industrial business, and optimising operations, targeting a 30% cost reduction and implementing leaner project development processes in 2026."
Through this approach, Lhyfe aims to demonstrate the economic sustainability of green hydrogen alongside its environmental impact, strengthening its industrial base, supply chain, and customer portfolio.
Matthieu Guesné, founder and CEO of Lhyfe, said: “At Lhyfe, we were among the pioneers who started developing the sector back in 2017. We have shown that the green hydrogen sector was technically mature, and that green hydrogen could be produced locally and delivered efficiently, on an industrial scale, here and now.
"We laid the foundations for a new industrial model and, step by step, built all the building blocks that have enabled us to grow our sales every year for the past two years. We have also worked on the future of the industry with offshore development. Our teams have risen to these challenges with commitment, pugnacity, creativity, talent and professionalism.
"The direction we are taking today is in line with the rollout of our corporate strategy, seeking to accelerate profitability and demonstrate that this sector is also economically sustainable and capable of scaling up."
