The 9-meter bus is built on a 60kW PEM Fuel Cell engine which will power electric drive and provide a minimum range of 450 km while emitting water in the exhaust
Oil India Limited and Ohm Cleantech Private Limited have jointly demonstrated hydrogen powered bus in Pune along with partners like h2e Power and EKA Mobility.
"The 9-meter bus is built on a 60kW PEM Fuel Cell engine which will power electric drive and provide a minimum range of 450 km while emitting water in the exhaust. The green hydrogen required for the bus will come from our green hydrogen plant in Jorhat," said S. C. Mishra, CMD, Oil India.
"This is a major step towards zero emission mobility within Oil India and also in the North East. With technology partners like Ohm Cleantech and h2e Power Systems who can set up manufacturing plants for electrolysers and fuel cells in the North East, Oil can play an important role in fulfilling India’s energy targets. We intend to deploy this bus for Green Kaziranga Tourism and by the end of this year, we will welcome tourists to zero-emission travel experience," added Mishra.
