This move accelerates the company’s growth in the infrastructure market
Saint-Gobain has signed a definitive agreement to acquire D.S. Brown Company, a premier North American developer and manufacturer of specialized solutions for bridges, airports, and transport infrastructure.
Based in North Baltimore, Ohio, D.S. Brown provides a comprehensive suite of infrastructure products, including structural bearings, expansion joint systems, waterproofing tools, and pavement preservation technologies.
With annual sales of approximately $90 million expected in 2026, 235 employees and 2 manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Texas, the company has built a recognized position in transportation infrastructure, supported by its technical expertise and specification-driven business model.
This move accelerates the company’s growth in the infrastructure market, which is currently driven by a rising demand for modernized transport networks and resilient, long-lasting materials. D.S. Brown's portfolio directly complements Saint-Gobain's existing brands, including GCP (Eliminator and Safetrack), FOSROC, Chryso, and Xypex. Ultimately, this acquisition enhances Saint-Gobain's global infrastructure platform by broadening its range of repair, protection, and reinforcement solutions for civil engineering projects.
The combination will bring significant commercial and operational synergies through crossselling, specification of high-value-added solutions and innovation opportunities, leveraging SaintGobain’s customer base to broaden D.S. Brown’s reach.
The transaction is subject to US antitrust approval and fulfillment of other customary closing conditions. It is expected to close by the end of 2026.
