The acquisition brings Floral Concept’s sourcing relationships, technical expertise and natural raw material capabilities into Symrise’s global fragrance platform

Symrise has completed its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of French premium natural ingredients specialist Floral Concept, bringing the Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne-based company into its Fragrance division.

The deal, first announced in July, marks another step in Symrise’s ONE Symrise strategy and its push to strengthen its Premium Naturals offering. Floral Concept will join Maison Lautier 1795 to form a dedicated Naturals cluster in the Pays de Grasse, the heartland of French perfumery.

“We are delighted to welcome Floral Concept and its employees to Symrise. This milestone strengthens our Premium Naturals platform and adds exceptional sourcing relationships, natural raw material expertise and transformation capabilities to our Fragrance business. Together, we will offer customers an even richer palette while preserving Floral Concept’s authenticity and entrepreneurial spirit,” says Michael Friede, President Scent & Care Segment.

Founded in 2002, Floral Concept develops and supplies premium natural fragrance ingredients for Fine Fragrance, with a portfolio that includes extracts from jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant.

The acquisition brings Floral Concept’s sourcing relationships, technical expertise and natural raw material capabilities into Symrise’s global fragrance platform, while the company says preserving business continuity will remain an immediate priority.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter for Floral Concept. Joining Symrise allows us to preserve our craftmanship, the quality of our products and trusted relationships while gaining access to a broad global platform and new opportunities for innovation and growth,” says Frédérique Rémy, General Manager, Floral Concept.

Over time, customers will benefit from a broader Premium Naturals palette, enhanced sourcing and transformation expertise, and access to Symrise’s global fragrance capabilities.

“Together, Floral Concept and Maison Lautier 1795 combine premium naturals expertise with the customer proximity and producer relationships that distinguish both businesses. Our ambition is to set a new benchmark for creativity, quality and sustainability in perfumery,” says Ricardo Omori, President Global Scent Division at Symrise.
