Sakai Chemical Industry has decided to introduce a solar power generation system based on the PPA model at the Onahama Manufacturing Site's Otsurugi Plant to provide a part of the factory's electricity needs. The planned start date of power generation is February 1, 2023.

The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to the fiscal 2013 levels.

As part of this effort, we have decided to introduce a solar power generation system at the Daiken Plant. These efforts will not only reduce CO2 emissions but will also enable us to more easily secure communications infrastructure and the power to resume operations even in the event of infrastructure disruption due to a large-scale disaster.

While considering the expansion to other plants in the future, we will continue to work on utilizing renewable energy and realizing a sustainable society.
