VOC Port recently hosted the valedictory function for the latest round of its skill development programs, an initiative funded through the Port's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and conducted by the Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS).
The programs have delivered exceptional outcomes, particularly in the technical trades. In a significant achievement demonstrating strong industry acceptance, the Welder and CNC Operator batches reached 100% placement success, with all 14 trainees securing jobs in major MNCs. This initiative is a powerful step towards economic upliftment and long-term community development.
