AMAI elects Aditya Shriram as President; Prashant Mahale as Vice President

Aditya A. Shriram, Deputy Managing Director, DCM Shriram Ltd. has been elected as the new President of Alkali Manufacturers Association of India (AMAI).

Aditya has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the prestigious Cornell University and an MBA from the London Business School. He has worked in various businesses within the group including Chemicals, Shriram Farm Solutions and Cement and has functional expertise in areas of Strategy, Operations, and Business development.

Heading the Chemicals vertical, Aditya has led an investment of more than Rs. 3,500 crore and has guided the business into new growth areas. Under his vision and leadership, Chemicals has become an important vertical and one of the key growth engines, within the group.

Prashant J. Mahale, Sr. Executive Vice President, Reliance Industries Ltd. has taken over as the new Vice President at the 48th Annual General Meeting of AMAI held at New Delhi.

Prashant is currently leading the commercial strategy for a world-scale Chlor Alkali project, with end-to-end responsibility for system design, salt procurement, caustic soda lye sales, and overall business launch and execution. Previously, Prashant was a Chief of Feedstock at Reliance Industries Limited and also held positions at SUPERGAS Foundation, Ballarpur Industries. He is BE (Chemical) from Bangalore University.

AMAI represents the interests of the Chlor-Alkali, Soda Ash and Chloro-Vinyl industry in India.
