Arun Kumar Singh, Director (Marketing), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director of BPCL by the Government of India.
Arun Kumar Singh is a Mechanical Engineer with first rank from National Institute of Technology, Patna (formerly BCE, Patna). He was earlier Director (Marketing) on the Board of the company and holding additional charge of Director (Refineries) and Director(Finance).
He is also Chairman of lndraprastha Gas Ltd., a joint venture City Gas Distribution (CGD) company listed on Indian stock exchanges. He is also a Director on the Board of Bharat Gas Resources Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of BPCL, engaged in natural gas. He is on the Board of Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd. a subsidiary of BPCL engaged in Refining Business and represents BPCL on the Board of Petronet LNG Ltd., a joint venture company.
