He brings over 25 years of leadership experience from Johnson & Johnson and
Bachem Group has appointed Hans Van Hees as Chief Operations Officer (COO), effective September 1, 2025. In this role, Van Hees will lead Bachem’s global manufacturing network and report directly to Thomas Meier, CEO of Bachem.
Van Hees joined Bachem in 2024 as COO Europe from Pharma Resource Group. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience from Johnson & Johnson and Janssen, where he held senior positions including Vice President of the Small Molecule API cluster at Janssen and Vice President of Global Technical Operations at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health.
He holds a Master’s degree and PhD in Chemistry, as well as an MBA from KU Leuven.
