Smita joined Connell in 2010 and brings close to two decades of outstanding leadership experience across the specialty chemicals and ingredients distribution industry in APAC. She has a strong track record of driving commercial growth in Caldic and previously in Connell, building high-performing teams, and leading digital and business transformation initiatives.
Most recently, Smita has been leading Regional Marketing & Communications for APAC, where she has played a key role in enhancing brand positioning, driving engagement, and aligning regional strategies with our global ambitions.
Her prior leadership roles include being Head of Core Products and Industry Manager Food & Nutrition in India. These reflect her ability to build and scale businesses, foster strong principal and customer partnerships, and drive impactful transformation.
Smita’s deep industry expertise, regional perspective, and proven leadership make her well positioned to lead India business into its next phase of growth.
