N Chandrasekaran to step down as Tata Chemicals Chairman; S Padmanabhan appointed as new Chairman

I am writing to formally inform you of my decision to step down from my position as a director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tata Chemicals Limited , Chandrasekaran said in a letter to the Board of Directors

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons will step down from the position of Chairman and Director of Tata Chemicals, with effect from May 29, 2025. Tata Chemicals said that Chandrasekaran, in his letter dated May 28, 2025, has informed the company of his intention to step down from the position of Director and Chairman, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The letter to the Board of Directors by Chandrasekaran stated, “I am writing to formally inform you of my decision to step down from my position as a director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tata Chemicals Limited w.e.f. 29th May, 2025.” It further added that after careful evaluation of his current and future commitments, he has decided to step down from the Board.

Tata Chemicals further announced the appointment of S Padmanabhan, Director of the Company, as the Chairman of the Board with effect from May 30, 2025.
