Sinha joined GAIL (India) Limited as a Management Trainee (Finance & Accounts) in 1994
S.K. Sinha today assumed the charge as Director (Finance) of GAIL (India) Limited, India’s integrated energy major. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, he has served as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts).
A qualified Cost and Management Accountant with an illustrious career spanning over three decades in oil and gas sector, Sinha possesses extensive expertise in Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounts, Management Accounting, Investor Relations, Taxation, Treasury & Banking Operations, Costing, Budgeting, Project Evaluation, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening GAIL’s financial systems, enhancing investor engagement, and driving strategic financial decision-making.
Sinha joined GAIL (India) Limited as a Management Trainee (Finance & Accounts) in 1994 and has since held several key positions across core finance functions. He has contributed significantly to value creation through governance, compliance, and cost optimization initiatives, large-scale investment appraisals, and effective treasury management. He has been instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives in finance, including SAP implementation, automation, and centralized financial processes.
He has also served on the Boards of GAIL Global Singapore Pte Limited, and GAIL Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited, contributing to key strategic and operational milestones.
He has received multiple professional accolades, including securing 2nd Rank in Asia for IR Professional in the Extel Asia Survey 2026, along with recognitions from ICAI and ICPA for excellence in cost management and finance leadership. Sinha brings a strong blend of financial acumen and strategic perspective that will further reinforce GAIL’s financial strength and support its evolution as an integrated energy company.
