Formosa Plastics USA completes merger with Formosa Industries

The merger is designed to streamline its corporate structure and improve administrative efficiency


Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. has completed its merger with Formosa Industries Corporation (FIC), with the transaction taking effect Aug. 1, 2026.
 
Under the merger, Formosa Industries Corporation has been merged into Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., which will continue as the surviving legal entity.
 
The merger is designed to streamline its corporate structure and improve administrative efficiency while maintaining the level of service customers and business partners expect. FPC USA said the integration will not affect its relationships with customers, suppliers, employees or other business partners, and that business operations will continue without interruption.
 
The company added that existing product offerings, customer contacts and day-to-day operations will remain unchanged. All rights, obligations, contracts and business activities previously held by Formosa Industries Corporation have transferred to Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., in accordance with applicable law.
