GP Petroleums Limited (GPPL) has strengthened its presence in India's infrastructure sector.

 

This, with its joint venture, Amron Oil Resources Private Limited, being selected by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the operating partner for the Pipavav Bitumen Cell in Gujarat.

 

The appointment marks a significant milestone for GPPL and reinforces its strategy of expanding into specialised, high-growth infrastructure solutions.

 

Amron Oil Resources, a 50:50 joint venture between GP Petroleums Limited and West Coast Oils LLP, has been manufacturing and supplying high-performance bitumen products since 2004. 

 

Its portfolio includes Bitumen Emulsions, Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) and Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB), products designed to improve road durability, performance and sustainability.

 

Bulk bitumen dispatches from the Pipavav facility commenced on June 4, 2026.

 

Amron's selection reflects its technical expertise, operational capabilities and long-standing experience in delivering specialty bitumen solutions to India's growing road and infrastructure sector.

 

For GPPL, the development further advances its strategic diversification beyond conventional petroleum products into value-added infrastructure businesses. The partnership with IOCL is expected to strengthen the company's position in the infrastructure and industrial ecosystem while supporting the country's expanding transportation network.

 

The Pipavav Bitumen Cell is expected to play a key role in ensuring the efficient supply of specialty bitumen products across Gujarat and neighbouring regions. 

 

With its strategic port location, the facility is well positioned to improve logistics efficiency, expand market reach and support large-scale infrastructure projects requiring high-performance bitumen products.
