Netmatrix Ltd has proposed a crop care chemicals manufacturing unit at Atchuthapuram in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district.

manufacturing unit at Atchuthapuram in Andhra Pradesh?s Visakhapatnam district.
In a presentation before the expert committee of the Ministry of Environment and
Forests for environmental clearance, the company said the total cost of the
project is Rs 95 crore. The total land acquired for the project is 20 acre, of
which 606 acre is for greenbelt development.
The total power requirement for the project is 1000 KVA while the water
requirement is 75 KLD and waste water generation is 35 KLD.
The company said it will produce 4000 TPA of MCA and methyl ester, 3000 TPA of
trichloro acetyl chloride and 14000 TPA of insecticides, herbicides and
fungicides.
The company in its presentation said there are no defence installation,
biosphere reserve, national park or wildlife sanctuary and
ecologically-sensitive area within 10-km radius of the unit.
The company said there will not be any major potential for negative impact on
the environment due to the proposed unit.
The company further said it will undertake all hazardous waste generation
management measures besides providing all safety and health measures to its
employees.
According to Netmatrix, it will adopt several health, safety and welfare
facilities like smoke detectors, emergency control of DG sets, rest/shelter,
drinking water and toilets for workers, emergency battery and lighting systems,
fire safety measures, manual fire alarm, installation of fire extinguishers and
first aid room, emergency room etc.
