Shriya Chemicals Pvt Ltd has proposed to expand its agro chemicals intermediary and pharmaceuticals intermediary plant at Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
In its presentation to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for environmental clearance, the company said that the estimated project cost for the proposed modernisation cum expansion project is Rs 715.17 lakh.
The company produces 65 MTPM of 2 Hydroxy Quinoxaline. The proposed products are N Methyl Morpoline (15 MT), 4 Methoxy Acetophenone (8 MT), 4 Methyl Acetophenone (7 MT), Hexaconizole (15 MT), Metalaxyl (5 MT), Anthraquinone 2, 6 Disulphonate (2 MT).
The manufacturing process involves plant and machineries which mainly include stainless steel reactors, HDPE reactors, fractionating columns, centrifuges, thermic fluid heaters, cooling towers, ejectors, vacuum pumps, FBD and so on which are developed with indigenous technology and the process of production mainly include filtrations, reactions, distillations and so on.
The greenery area is 1,260 sq m, which is 33 per cent of the total plot area.
According to company, baseline data is being collected for the proposed project and a study area of 10 km radius has been chosen.
Five sampling stations have been selected within the study area as per the guidelines of the Environment Ministry and Central Pollution Control Board based on predominant wind direction, upwind direction, crosswind direction, rural area representation and urban area representation.
Parameters like PM2.5, PM10, SO2 and NO2 are analysed twice in a week for each station throughout the study period of three months.
