Value-conscious buyers are demanding more from fewer products, prioritizing multifunctional solutions that stretch across categories and deliver real utility in everyday routines
Clariant has unveiled its “Let True Beauty Glow” Formulation Concept 2026, positioning it as a bold beauty innovation strategy centered on natural radiance and authentic self-expression.
The company describes the concept as “hacking nature’s secret of radiance,” where enhancement is not about transformation, but about revealing what is already there. The approach leans heavily into positivity, self-care, and confidence rooted in natural appearance.
The launch comes as consumer behavior shifts in two clear directions. Value-conscious buyers are demanding more from fewer products, prioritizing multifunctional solutions that stretch across categories and deliver real utility in everyday routines.
At the same time, consumers are stripping back complexity, favoring simple, transparent formulations with minimal ingredients and high trust—moving away from overcomplicated regimes and inflated claims.
Against this backdrop, Clariant has introduced 15 formulations spanning multiple beauty segments. Among them are hair and body care innovations such as GlowRay Hair Mist, designed to protect hair during beach exposure, and FreshUp Body Spray, which delivers an instant cooling effect with a soft, velvety finish.
“The 'Let True Beauty Glow' concept reflects a fundamental shift in how consumers approach beauty,” said Petra Kudla, Global Marketing Manager Hair Care at Clariant.
“We're seeing people move away from heavy transformation toward celebrating their authentic selves. Our formulations support this movement by providing multifunctional solutions that enhance natural beauty through thoughtful chemistry. These aren't just product ideas they're tools that empower formulators to create experiences that honor both individual wellbeing and the planet.”
The formulations are powered by Clariant’s ingredient technologies, including Aristoflex for lightweight textures, Plantasens for plant-based emulsification and emollience, Eclipsogen UV filters for encapsulated protection, Glucotain and Hostapon surfactants for mild cleansing, and Nipaguard preservatives for broad-spectrum stability.
Each product has been developed with full technical backing, including ingredient compositions, manufacturing processes, stability testing, and challenge test data.
Clariant has also tailored the portfolio for regional markets. Europe’s preference for gentle formulations is reflected in GlowRenew, a facial cleanser designed to enhance natural radiance while remaining mild. In the Americas, demand for FDA-compliant UV protection and high-performance products has driven offerings such as makeup remover wipes.
In APAC, trend-led textures and multifunctionality have inspired a mochi-inspired facial cleanser, while China’s market is addressed with a multifunctional cleansing solution. The regional strategy is aimed at ensuring global adaptability across regulatory and consumer expectations.
The concept is rooted in the growing trend of consumers “hacking” beauty routines—favoring shortcuts, flexible formulas, and effortless outcomes.
The result is a focus on soft skin, subtle glow, and understated, real-world beauty, aligned with the broader slow beauty movement and rising interest in environmentally conscious formulation, including higher natural origin content.
