IMCD Group has opened a new Pharmaceutical Technical Centre and Food & Nutrition US Technical Hub in its new offices in Allendale, New Jersey, marking a significant expansion of its North American innovation footprint.
The facilities sit within IMCD’s global network of more than 80 technical centres and are designed to accelerate collaboration between customers, suppliers, and in-house experts across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food and beverage sectors.
At the opening event, visitors toured application laboratories where concepts are rapidly developed into proof-of-concept prototypes—offering a hands-on view of IMCD’s innovation pipeline in action.
The new hub combines expanded laboratory capabilities with dedicated spaces for technical seminars, workshops, and collaborative learning. It is built to support faster product development and knowledge sharing, linking local teams with global expertise through IMCD’s digital analytics platform.
The Food & Nutrition US Technical Hub includes a dedicated Application Lab and Bakery Lab focused on co-creating formulation solutions across bakery, beverage, confectionery, dairy, nutrition, and savoury categories. From early concept ideation through to formulation optimisation, the centre is designed to shorten the path from idea to market-ready product.
Emilie Pharand, Vice-President Food & Nutrition, North America at IMCD, said: “Our US Technical Hub is more than a laboratory; it represents an exciting milestone in our commitment to supporting our North American customers and partners.
"It is a destination for collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence, where market understanding and formulation expertise come together to accelerate ideas from concept to commercialisation. We are excited to welcome customers and partners into this space to co-create what’s next.”
