Kuraray announced the establishment of its Kuraray Asia Pacific Technical Center in Singapore Science Park, positioning the facility as a strategic hub to accelerate growth and innovation across Asia’s rapidly expanding markets.
Operated by Kuraray Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., the new Technical Center is designed to provide advanced technical support for key products such as PVOH resin, EVAL EVOH resin, and activated carbon—materials experiencing strong demand in the region. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for material evaluation, analysis, and technology exploration, the center will deliver specialized and timely solutions tailored to customer needs.
Beyond technical support, the center will serve as a platform for open innovation, enabling collaborative product demonstrations and co-development with customers to create new value and applications.
Strategically located in Singapore Science Park, a leading hub of research and development, the facility is poised to tap into Singapore’s robust innovation ecosystem and diverse talent pool. This location strengthens Kuraray’s ability to foster partnerships, accelerate market entry, and attract global expertise.
At the opening ceremony, Lim Wey-Len, Executive Vice President at the Singapore Economic Development Board, remarked: “We welcome Kuraray and other like-minded companies to leverage Singapore’s innovation ecosystem, talent pool, and regional connectivity to scale impactful and sustainable solutions from here.”
Tomoyuki Watanabe, Director and Managing Executive Officer, and President of the Vinyl Acetate Resin Company at Kuraray, added: “By offering a place for co-creation with our customers, we hope to drive rapid market growth in the region and strengthen Kuraray’s role as a trusted solutions partner.”
