This breakthrough establishes India as a key player in the high-performance deep-UV and UVA LED market

Polymatech Electronics, India’s pioneer in opto-semiconductor manufacturing, has reached a major technological milestone with the launch of its next-generation high-power UV LED chips. Engineered for ultra-fast, energy-efficient industrial curing, the platform was recently unveiled through a live performance demonstration.

In the showcase, Polymatech’s proprietary UV LED technology achieved instantaneous curing of UV-sensitive inks, coatings, resins, adhesives, and solder masks. The chips deliver the high-intensity performance traditionally associated with mercury-vapor lamps but with the added benefits of superior energy efficiency, enhanced safety, and a significantly longer operating life.

This breakthrough establishes India as a key player in the high-performance deep-UV and UVA LED market—a high-value segment historically led by firms in Japan, Europe, and the U.S.

Polymatech will present this UV LED platform to the international market at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Global OEMs and industry leaders will have the opportunity to witness the technology’s performance firsthand through live demonstrations.

"This is a defining moment for India’s semiconductor sector," said Eswara Rao Nandam, CEO & Managing Director of Polymatech Electronics. "We have indigenously developed a world-class platform that surpasses global benchmarks. This innovation bolsters India’s leadership in optoelectronics and aligns with the nation’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission."

Allen Wagner, Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the technical achievements: "By utilizing high-density emitter arrays and advanced epitaxial engineering, we have set a new global standard for curing performance."
