Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has secured a Rs 92.41 crore contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for a new organic municipal solid waste-based Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant in Kozhikode, Kerala, marking the company’s third EPCOM order from BPCL in just one week.

ORSL said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Solapur Bioenergy Systems Private Limited (SBESPL), received the Letter of Acceptance for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operation and Maintenance (EPCOM) project.

The contract, worth Rs 92.41 crore including GST, calls for the plant to be completed and commissioned within 15 months, followed by five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M). Mechanical completion is targeted within 12 months, while the Performance Guarantee Test Run is scheduled within 18 months of the LOA or three months after commissioning.

The latest award significantly strengthens ORSL’s order book and expands its BPCL presence into Kerala.

The company had previously secured a Rs 85.56 crore BPCL project in Mysuru, Karnataka, on September 3, followed by an Rs 81.74 crore project in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on September 4.

With the Kozhikode contract, ORSL’s cumulative BPCL order intake rises to Rs 259.71 crore across three states, providing 15 cumulative plant-years of contracted O&M revenue visibility.

The back-to-back awards underscore the growing role of ORSL in BPCL’s waste-to-energy and circular bioenergy initiatives, while giving the company a broader geographic footprint across India.

Pankaj Tanwar, Chief Executive Officer - Bioenergy at ORSL, said "securing three consecutive EPCOM contracts within a single week validates the company’s execution capabilities and transitions its operational profile from a traditional project builder to a long-term operating partner within India's circular bioenergy landscape."

ORSL’s latest wins come alongside its renewed O&M contract for Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s Gorakhpur plant, further deepening its relationship with India’s leading public-sector oil marketing companies.
