Pyramid Technoplast Limited has received an amended Consolidated Consent and Authorisation (CCA) from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), allowing it to receive, collect, store, transport and recycle industrial packaging waste generated by third-party companies.

 

The authorisation covers empty barrels, containers and liners contaminated with hazardous chemicals or wastes, and permits Pyramid Technoplast to handle and recycle up to 960 MT of such waste annually.

 

The approval opens up a new avenue for the company to expand its recycling operations by serving industrial customers with an end-to-end packaging waste management solution, spanning collection, recycling, reprocessing and reuse.

 

Under the amended authorisation, Pyramid Technoplast can also manufacture up to 9,000 cleaned barrels, drums and containers per month for industrial use or granules. This complements its existing capacity to produce 1,000 MT per month of plastic re-processed granules.

 

The company said the expanded approval strengthens its integrated industrial packaging platform by extending its operations beyond manufacturing into the collection and recycling of used industrial packaging.

With the expanded authorisation, Pyramid Technoplast can scale its third-party recycling platform, deepen relationships with industrial customers and increase the recovery and reuse of materials from industrial packaging waste.
