The company currently has an operational capacity of approximately 2.57 GWp and 500 MWh of BESS

Juniper Green Energy has won a 230 MW capacity in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 1,000 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Round-the-Clock (RTC) tender, strengthening its position in one of India’s fastest-growing clean-energy segments.

The company secured the capacity at a tariff of Rs. 5.26 per unit through SECI’s e-reverse auction. The Letter of Award is expected to be issued within the timelines prescribed under the tender.

The project will be backed by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, with the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) set for 24 months from the PPA Effective Date.

The win adds further scale to Juniper Green Energy’s growing FDRE and RTC portfolio, with the company deploying an integrated mix of solar, wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technologies to deliver firm and reliable renewable power.

Under the tender’s requirements, the project must meet prescribed Delivered Firm Round-the-Clock (DFR) commitments, including a minimum 90% DFR during designated peak hours, 50–60% during solar hours and 70% during non-solar, non-peak hours.

Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy Limited, said: "This successful bid marks another important milestone in our journey of building large-scale, reliable renewable energy solutions for India's evolving power needs. Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy is becoming increasingly critical to enabling round-the-clock clean power, and this project further strengthens our position in this emerging segment. We remain committed to delivering high-quality renewable energy assets that support India's energy transition while creating long-term value for all stakeholders."

The latest award comes as Juniper Green Energy continues to expand its renewable energy footprint across India. The company currently has an operational capacity of approximately 2.57 GWp and 500 MWh of BESS, while its overall portfolio exceeds 10 GWp and 4.5 GWh of BESS. The portfolio includes operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects.
