New agreement extends coverage from the Chinese market to include Southeast Asia with immediate effect
Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, and Arla Foods Ingredients have signed a new distribution agreement to serve Southeast Asia's key food and nutrition markets in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The new agreement follows the extensive distribution agreement, signed in 2024, between Arla Foods Ingredients and Zhongbai Xingye Food Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd, a Brenntag group company, to serve the Chinese market.
The expanded collaboration will see Brenntag distributing Arla Foods Ingredient‘s comprehensive portfolio of protein ingredients, spanning various categories such as health foods, infant nutrition, sports nutrition, and functional solutions for the dairy and bakery sectors.
Kenneth Keh, Regional President, Nutrition Asia Pacific, Brenntag Specialties, said, “Our partnership with Arla in China has been immensely successful, and we are excited to expand it into Southeast Asia. We are confident that with the combined strength of Arla, we can meet the demand for high-quality, innovative nutritional products in the growth markets in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.”
Alexander Leufgen, Head of Asia-Pacific at Arla Foods Ingredients, said, “Demand for high-quality whey and dairy ingredients is growing across Southeast Asia, especially in key segments like active nutrition and food functionality. Our goal is to improve and extend our offering to manufacturers across the region. By building on our existing arrangement with Brenntag we will be able to better tailor our products and services to meet their needs.”
