Brenntag has announced a new distribution agreement with BASF to expand access to innovative cleaning solutions across key Sub-Saharan African markets.

 

Thus, also strengthening the supply of advanced ingredients for Home Care and Industrial & Institutional (I&I) cleaning applications.

 

Under the partnership, Brenntag will distribute BASF’s Home Care and I&I Cleaning portfolio across South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia — some of the region’s fastest-growing markets.

 

The agreement covers a broad range of BASF’s cleaning application solutions, including advanced surfactant systems designed to improve cleaning performance by helping remove grease, dirt, and other common soils while supporting formulation stability and sustainability goals.

 

Brenntag’s expertise in the Home Care and I&I sectors, combined with its extensive market reach and supply chain capabilities, will help deliver BASF’s portfolio to a wider customer base across the region.

 

The companies said the partnership will also support evolving hygiene and sustainability demands through solutions designed for laundry care applications, including ingredients that enable stain removal, fabric protection, and color preservation at lower wash temperatures — helping customers improve cleaning efficiency while reducing energy consumption.

 

The collaboration aims to create new opportunities for customers seeking reliable, high-performance, and scalable cleaning solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa.
