Gazechim acquires Brenntag’s chlorine gas business in Spain

Grupo Gas Iberica will continue to distribute chlorine from the Brenntag plant in Seville

Grupo Gas Iberica, the Spanish subsidiary of the Gazechim Group, announces the acquisition of the liquefied chlorine gas distribution activities of Brenntag Química in Spain. This acquisition strengthens Grupo Gas Iberica’s position as a major player in the distribution of liquefied chlorine gas on the Spanish market.

This acquisition allows Grupo Gas Iberica to strengthen its role as a major supplier of liquefied chlorine gas in the water treatment market, covering the production of drinking water, process water for various industrial sectors, and wastewater treatment.

This transaction also provides Grupo Gas Iberica with the opportunity to expand its presence in the swimming pool water treatment market.

Grupo Gas Iberica will continue to distribute chlorine from the Brenntag plant in Seville, in addition to its main distribution platform in Flix.
