IMCD, a global partner in the distribution and formulation of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Thailand-based Merit Solution Co, strengthening its presence in the plastics and compounding market across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

 

The acquisition expands IMCD's capabilities in additives for the plastics industry while broadening its offering across key application areas including construction and adhesives.

 

Headquartered in Bangkok, Merit Solution employs 24 people and operates from its office and laboratory facilities. The company generated revenues of approximately THB 406 million (around EUR 10.7 million) in 2025.

 

Commenting on the acquisition, Pichit Pornthanalert, Managing Director, IMCD Thailand, said, “The acquisition will strengthen IMCD’s position as a comprehensive solution provider for the plastics and compounding market in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
