The new jetty facilitates the direct maritime transport of 4,000-tonne oversized modules
Technip Energies India has commissioned its first captive jetty at the Dahej, Gujarat, Modular Manufacturing Yard (MMY), enabling the dispatch of a large-scale process module to the Netherlands. This strategic development strengthens India’s role as a global export hub for energy infrastructure and aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative.
The new jetty facilitates the direct maritime transport of 4,000-tonne oversized modules, bypassing traditional road transport limitations. These modules are currently en route to North Europe via the Red Sea and Suez Canal, showcasing enhanced global logistical connectivity.
This infrastructure has dramatically boosted logistics efficiency, slashing transit times from 15 days by road to just 48–72 hours. By delivering 60–70% fuel savings, it significantly cuts costs and carbon emissions, reinforcing Technip Energies India’s commitment to sustainable operations.
Completed in an accelerated seven-month timeline, this jetty showcases superior engineering and execution, positioning India as a key hub in Technip Energies’ global modular strategy to deliver complex, large-scale international projects.
Commenting on the milestone, Davendra Kumar, Managing Director, Technip Energies India & APAC, said: “The commissioning of the jetty at MMY– Dahej and the successful dispatch of our first consignment, marks a defining milestone for Technip Energies India. By enabling faster, more efficient, and sustainable execution at scale, our people have redefined delivery excellence and adherence to world-class safety standards. We see India emerging as a strategic hub for Technip Energies, playing a pivotal role in our global project delivery network. It is a proud step forward in advancing the spirit of ‘Make in India’ on the global stage.”
