Univar Solutions is deepening its footprint in the EMEA beauty, personal care, and pharmaceutical ingredients market with an expanded distribution partnership with American Distilling, strengthening its botanical extracts portfolio across key regions.

 

Through its Ingredients + Specialties division, the company will now distribute American Distilling’s range of natural specialty ingredients, including traditional witch hazel—available in alcohol-free and customizable grades—for use in cosmetics, personal care, and pharmaceutical applications across select EMEA markets.

Witch hazel, a widely used botanical extract derived from Hamamelis, is applied in facial care, cleansers, body washes, hair care, eye gels, and hygiene products. Known for its natural astringent, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties, it serves as a plant-based alternative to synthetic astringents across toners, creams, ointments, sprays, and therapeutic formulations.
