Climate-resilient agrochemicals are essential for developing agricultural systems that can adapt to the unpredictable effects of climate change. The changing climate alters farming patterns by affecting crop productivity, increasing pest and disease pressure, and creating new challenges related to water availability and soil health.

In this context, Agrochemicals are no longer just for boosting yield but must be engineered to function effectively under shifting conditions and minimize environmental harm. The development of Agrochemicals must evolve to produce more targeted, efficient, and eco-friendly products that can perform optimally under variable climate conditions.

However, developing and implementing climate-resilient agrochemicals face hurdles. There is a need to address evolving global regulatory standards for novel, eco-friendly Agrochemicals. Many farmers, particularly in developing countries, lack the knowledge and resources to correctly apply new-generation Agrochemicals or transition to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques.

Addressing these challenges requires collaboration among various stakeholders. Governments and organizations like the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are promoting climate-resilient agriculture through research and technology demonstration. Partnerships between the public and private sectors are essential for driving innovation and supporting farmers in transitioning to sustainable practices.

Topics to be covered during the session are: Shifting pest and disease patterns; Reduced pesticide efficacy and altered crop growth; New chemical innovations; Bio-based and natural alternatives; Growing market for sustainability; Sustainable soil nutrient management; and Farmer awareness.

The gold partners for AgroChem Summit 2025 are: Humane World for Animals; Godrej Agrovet, and SAFEX Chemicals.
