Global specialty chemicals major Arkema has once again proven its environmental leadership, bagging top CDP Climate Change ratings.
The company has maintained an “A” rating in the CDP Climate Change category and staying on the prestigious CDP A List, placing the Group among the top 4% of companies assessed.
In addition, Arkema preserved its “A-” rating in the Water Security category, underscoring its ongoing commitment to transparency and high performance in both climate action and water resource preservation.
The Group continues to advance its climate plan, aligned with the 1.5°C trajectory validated by the SBTi, aiming to cut greenhouse gas emissions for Scopes 1+2 by 48.5% by 2030 compared to 2019. For Scope 3 emissions, Arkema has already exceeded its 2024 target and now sets a new goal: a 67% reduction by 2030 versus 2019.
On water preservation, Arkema is targeting a 27% reduction in water withdrawals by 2030 compared with 2019.
"This renewed performance is the result of the daily commitment of our teams, who work collectively to integrate sustainability at the heart of our activities.
"Maintaining these CDP ratings demonstrates the robustness of our environmental strategy, the effectiveness of the actions implemented across the whole Group, and our ability to achieve performance levels among the highest in the industry," said Emmanuelle Bromet, Sustainable Development Vice President of Arkema.
