LANXESS once again on CDP Climate A List, among the top 4% of all companies assessed
Specialty chemicals company LANXESS has been awarded a prestigious “A” rating by the climate protection initiative CDP, marking its seventh consecutive inclusion on the organization's top-tier “A List”. This achievement places LANXESS among the top 4 percent of over 22,100 companies evaluated worldwide for their climate performance.
CDP specifically highlighted LANXESS's strong performance and positive ratings across several critical areas: business strategy and targets, emissions reduction and climate-friendly products, governance and value chain.
This consistent high rating underscores the company's commitment to robust environmental practices. The CDP experts award “A” ratings to companies that disclose their climate protection measures in a particularly transparent manner and implement their plans reliably. Among other things, verifiable strategies, science-based targets and a current climate protection plan are rewarded.
Back in December 2025, sustainability platform EcoVadis had already evaluated the specialty chemicals company. With 83 out of a possible 100 points, LANXESS has once again improved on its previous year’s performance and is thus among the top 2 percent of all companies evaluated. EcoVadis has thereby confirmed LANXESS’s Gold status.
“The latest assessments by CDP and EcoVadis are proof that our focus on sustainability is setting international standards,” said Hubert Fink, member of the Board of Management of LANXESS AG. “Our progress in this area is paying off – also for our customers who want to achieve their own sustainability goals.”
