Moeve Chemicals has achieved a major sustainability milestone, completing the verification of its entire global manufacturing network for the production of Low Carbon products.

 

The company’s latest verification achievements at its Brazil and Shanghai facilities mean all Moeve Chemicals production plants are now approved to manufacture and supply products within its Low Carbon portfolio — strengthening its ability to help customers worldwide accelerate their decarbonization efforts.

 

The Low Carbon portfolio is designed to help customers cut the carbon footprint of their products while maintaining the same quality, performance and reliability standards as conventional alternatives. 

 

The initiative reflects Moeve Chemicals’ continued commitment to developing more sustainable chemical solutions and driving emissions reductions throughout customers’ value chains.

 

The portfolio includes NextLab Low Carbon, a lower-carbon version of linear alkylbenzene (LAB), a critical raw material used in biodegradable detergent production, and NextPhenol Low Carbon, a lower-carbon alternative for phenol and its derivatives, which are widely used in applications including resins, adhesives, automotive components and construction materials.

 

With global availability now secured, customers across multiple industries can pursue their sustainability targets with solutions that deliver verified lower-carbon benefits without sacrificing product performance or quality.

 

The verification process was conducted by AENOR (the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification) and is backed by Moeve Chemicals’ proprietary in-house verification system. 

 

The system was developed to ensure transparency, traceability and consistency in the allocation and management of renewable energy attributes across the company’s operations, giving customers confidence in the environmental credentials of Low Carbon products.
