The high-value order will supply advanced tubing for Indonesia’s Kutei North Hub Project

Alleima has secured a major breakthrough order worth approximately SEK 995 million for advanced umbilical tubes from a global subsea technology provider, marking a significant win for its Tube division.

The high-value order will supply advanced tubing for Indonesia’s Kutei North Hub Project, one of the country’s most important energy developments in recent years. Located roughly 50 kilometers offshore East Kalimantan, the project will rely on Alleima’s SAF 2507 umbilical tubes to operate in extreme deepwater conditions.

Booked in the second quarter and set to be reported within the Tube division, deliveries will be phased over several years between 2026 and 2030. The volumes are expected to be distributed as 20% in 2026, 60% in 2027, and the remaining 20% in 2030.

The tubing will be integrated into subsea umbilicals that enable hydraulic control functions—critical infrastructure that supports oil and gas production and enables communication between offshore facilities and subsea systems.

Umbilicals operate in some of the harshest environments in the energy sector, where extreme pressure, corrosion, and depth demand exceptional material performance.

Alleima’s SAF 2507 is engineered for these conditions, offering high strength, fatigue resistance, and long-term corrosion protection. The company has supplied this material for demanding subsea applications for three decades.

Carl von Schantz, President of the Tube division at Alleima, highlighted the strategic importance of the deal.

“We are very pleased to have received this order. The development of large deepwater projects places very high demands on technology, materials and collaboration.

"Alleima’s experience in advanced corrosion resistant alloys and reliable seamless tubing solutions make us well positioned to support complex offshore projects like this."

With this contract, Alleima strengthens its position in deepwater energy infrastructure, where reliability and material performance are critical to long-term offshore operations.
