SNF Flopam India has announced the successful commissioning of its state-of-the-art ASP (Alkali-Surfactant-Polymer) Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) Project at Jhalora Field, Ahmedabad Asset on 10th June 2025.
This project was executed by SNF under the leadership of Shital Khot, Chairman & Managing Director of SNF Flopam India Pvt. Ltd., and stands as a symbol of technological innovation, resilience and seamless execution in the energy sector.
The ASP injection scheme is specifically engineered to enhance oil recovery from the K-III+IV reservoir of the Jhalora Field. With an expected incremental gain of 0.598 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) of crude oil by FY 2039-40, this project will contribute an additional 4.27% recovery a significant leap in India’s journey towards energy self-reliance.
Key Features of ASP Jhalora plant includes: fully automated operations for precision and efficiency, sustainable design utilizing treated effluent water for chemical slug preparation, AFM-based advanced water filtration system for high-quality chemical input, latest polymer preparation unit, imported from France, enabling world-class formulation and integrated dust control systems ensuring minimal environmental impact.
Despite numerous challenges, the project was successfully completed through the joint efforts of ONGC and SNF teams, and inaugurated by Pankaj Kumar, Director (Production), ONGC.
